For Anita, working abroad had always been a dream. She wanted to develop herself, become more independent, and discover a new culture. “I love challenges, and I knew that working in the Netherlands would help me grow both personally and professionally,” she says. But how do you start such an adventure? And what can you expect? She’s happy to share her story!

Looking for work

Finding a job in the Netherlands turned out to be easier than expected. Thanks to various online platforms and recruitment agencies, Anita quickly found multiple opportunities. Through a Facebook group for Romanians working in the Netherlands, she got in touch with Workstead. “Communication went smoothly, and everything was arranged in no time,” she says.

A quick start

The application process at Workstead was straightforward. Shortly after sending in her CV, a recruiter reached out. “Everything was explained clearly, and I could start right away,” Anita explains. Because she already had a BSN (citizen service number), there were no delays. For newcomers to the Netherlands, Workstead also offers support with obtaining the necessary documents.

Working at WE Fashion

Anita now works at WE Fashion, where she handles various warehouse processes. Whether it’s receiving and storing goods, picking orders, packing, or shipping—no two days are the same. “I enjoy working flexibly and learning new things all the time. That keeps the job interesting,” she adds.

A pleasant work atmosphere is very important to Anita. She shares, “You spend a large part of your day at work, so a warm and supportive environment is essential.” She was welcomed warmly by her colleagues, which quickly made her feel like a valued team member.

Work-life balance

One of the biggest advantages of her job is the structure it provides. “I used to have a chaotic work schedule, but now I have fixed hours and enjoy free weekends. That helps me maintain a healthy balance,” she says.

Advice for others

Finally, Anita shares an important piece of advice for anyone considering working in the Netherlands: “Be sure of your decision. Working abroad is not only a step forward in your career but also an opportunity to get to know yourself better.”

Thanks to Workstead, Anita has found her place in the Netherlands. She feels supported in her job and looks forward to the future with confidence.
